Maybe If I Take My Leg Off!

No picture to post just wanted to share a funny memory. About 5 years ago I was driving home from the store in my mid to small sized Saturn. Jessica was riding up front and Kaitlen, in her car seat, and RaLee were in the back. Kait was about 18 months old and RaLee was 10. So we just exited off the Superstition Freeway onto Ironwood Road. Now at that time Ironwood wasn't that well traveled and it was a little two lane road that stretched 9 1/2 miles before any sign of civilization. We were about 1/2 mile down Ironwood when I saw an old man walking very slowly so being an old softy, and it was hot outside, I stopped and asked him if he needed a ride. He was so grateful and said yes! I apologized for the small back seat and asked, "Can you squeeze back there?" and he replied, "Yes if I take my leg off!" Jessica and I look at each other and both of us were thinking that the old guy was a bit ungrateful but I ignored it. I asked RaLee to scoot closer to Kaitlen's car seat to make room for the gentleman. When all of a sudden he just takes off his leg and lays in across Kaitlen and RaLee's lap! He hops in the car and closes the door like nothing was wrong. So I look in the rear view mirror and there is RaLee with the most hilarious look I had ever seen on any ones face. I just new something was going to come out of her mouth like a scream! So I catch her eye in the mirror and I put my finger to my lips to "Shush her". So she clamps her mouth shut! Now Kaitlen was just old enough to realize that this wasn't right. You know the look on a kids face when Grandma or Pa takes their false teeth out. Yeah that look. She looks at RaLee and then at Grandma and I could just read her mind. "Doesn't anyone else find this strange? Well if its okay with Grandma and Mommy then I guess it's cool" so Kaitlen shrugs her shoulders and proceeds to play with the dirty shoe on the end of the leg and pat the ankle and RaLee is just holding the thigh! Mind you this thing was DIRTY! All the while Jessica is clueless! So I discreetly tap Jessica on the leg and point to the back seat. So she slowly turns around and that's when I thought I would lose it! The look on her face! So now I'm biting the inside of my cheeks praying I can make the entire trip to the Chevron without cracking up. Jessica is white as a ghost and I can see her struggling with her lips. Her face kept changing from crimson to white and back again. Well we make it to Chevron. He say's "Thanks for the ride don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come along." hops out leans in retreives his leg and buckles it back on again and walks to the pay phone. I drive off. Then RaLee starts yelling at me! That was the most disgusting thing ever mom! She went on to tell me how she is going to have to have therapy as an adult to get over it! Jessica and I just start laughing. I mean I had to pull over because the tears were pouring down my face so hard I couldn't see to drive. Then I realize I'm going to wet my pants so I drive home as fast as I can. RaLee still doesn't think it was funny but I laugh every time I think of it! Thought I would share.

I've Been Tagged

My fourth photo in the fourth folder is kind of strange by itself so I am posting pictures number 3,4,5,& 6.

Photo # 3:

Following Royal's bus through Tucson on our way to a football game his sophomore year. September 5, 2003 Just 6 days before 9-11. I remember this because at the following weeks game, in Payson, the opposing team reffered to Royal over the intercom as "The Twin Towers". That nick name stuck with him.

The Winning Photo #4:

When we got to a school I always took a picture of the school or a sign that had the name of the school on it. That way for future reference I new who he was playing. This is the entrance to Saurita High School.

Picture # 5:
Getting Kaitlen ready for the game. She was their little mascot with Uncle Royal's #55 on the skirt. Too cute!

Picture #6:
The team lined up for the National Anthem.
This was fun it took me back a bit and reminded me how time really does fly.

Sorry Kaitlen Had To Do It!

So I was looking at the birthday party pics and came accross this one.
I have laughed and laughed. I sent them to Jessica and she laughed. Then I sent it to Crystal and well you know.

But just in case she didn't get it the first time ... this one was taken minutes later.

I know Heaven forbid I should ever get caught with my finger up my nose!
Pay Backs are a commin! Blame it on Grandpa. I'm bored and the PBR bull riding championships are on tv so grandma is blogging.

Sweet DJ

I was looking at the pictures from Williams birthday party and fell in love with this one. This picture describes the type of uncle DJ is. I started thinking of all the different pictures I have of him with them and decided to post a few.

Kissing Pay Pay

Holding Sage at the football game

Playing with Pay Pay at her 1st Birthday party

Jay Bug was badly burned on Christmas Eve. We had to leave the Christmas Eve party for a trip to the ER. Here is DJ helping her unwrap her Christmas Eve present. She is all bandaged up and in her hospital gown.

He kept all the little ones happy and safe when John and Amanda were sealed

One of my favorite photos of him!

Letting Wayne help him blow out 16 candles

He spent some afternoons with Wayne
when he was in Phoenix Childrens Hospital
for his abdominal migraines.
He would push the IV pole and Wayne down
the hall and take him to play in the toy room.
It helped make a 10 day hospital stay seem shorter.
DJ and Trey

DJ read to Kaitlen nightly. There are many more but you get the picture.
DJ is an old softy when it comes to kids and animals. Love you Dee.
