So yesterday, February 3, we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary! Wow time really does get by you.
So how did we celebrate our day you ask? I went grocery shopping with Crystal and the kids. I thought about buying myself an anniversary gift...I really wanted a toaster. We haven't had one in many years but I decided $18 could be spent on more necessary things. It is always a hoot when I spend time with the grandkids. When I asked Trey how he was doing he replied, "Oh Grandma my legs are sore right here from riding my ROCKET BIKE with mommy". And when we got home he went to the bathroom and called on Grandma to wipe his bottom(I love that he asks me because he will grow up soon enough and do it himself I have learned to cherish it all). I did some laundry, cleaned the bathroom, put up the groceries, cleaned the kitchen, worked on the vacume cleaner(still won't work), pulled weeds and trimmmed the rose bush's. Teele called and said he would take me any where I wanted for dinner and then to a movie. We exchanged gifts when he got home. Teele actually went to WALMART, not the feed store girls, and picked me out a gift and a card. He got me a Toaster Oven! Now I did not say a word to him about wanting a toaster! Sometimes he reads my mind most usually it's me reading his. What did I get Teele? Well drum rolls....a shirt. Boring you say...then you don't know Teele! He likes getting, shirts, pants, socks, hats, boots and ropes. He's a simple man. Ask the kids how mad he got the Christmas I forgot to buy him a package of socks! I wanted to march to the store and buy a hundred packages of socks and just stick socks all over the house. In his cereal box, bed, boots, hat, truck and so on. But that would have only made him happy so instead I just gave him my "Angry Eyes"! Come on ladies we've all done it! He Loved his shirt and I loved my toaster oven. I decided to eat dinner at...SubWay and come home and watch The Biggest Loser. So I guess you could say we are both simple people.
So everyone has a path in life and loving Teele is mine. For me, the future is about where we're headed together. We have been through a lot of hard times and we have enjoyed a lot of good times and we have received countless blessings along the way. So in an uncertain world my certainty is that I Love Teele and together we will keep working on our path to...forever.
