4th of July

We wanted to celebrate in Heber, AZ, our usual spot, but due to the dry conditions of the forests they canceled the fireworks. We were disappointed and yet we understand the decision that was made because we certainly hope that beautiful place is around for many years. We stayed here in the valley of the sun, and despite the heat, we had a wonderful time.  I have learned that where ever my family is, that is the best place to be. We went to John and Amanda's for a bbq and a movie. Amanda, is quite the cook, and made some of the best southern potatoe salad ever! Then we parked at the church next to Schnepf Farms and watched their firework display. It was hot, but cloudy, which brought the temperature down enough to be comfortable... as comfortable as "Triple Digits" can be that is.

Crystal wanted some family pictures, so a couple days before the 4th, we loaded up the family and went to the corn fields.  It is always hard to get all 5 of the kids to look at the camera at the same time, but we managed to get a few.  Turns out kids are cranky when it is 115 outside!

Ellie was most interested in mommies necklace
The kids ran races until they were too hot to run!

William won the first race so he was kind enough to slow down so his brother, Wayne, could win one too.  He is always so thoughtful and kind.
Aunt Amanda bought 4th of July cupcakes for all the kids
...and Izzy couldn't wait! She is so funny!
 Jayden with  her "flag" rings
Crystal and the kids at the fireworks

 Mommy and Izzy
 Mommy and Nolan
The best part is always, "Love of Family"!
I hope all of you had a wonderful 4th of July!
