Our Christmas!

Surprise surprise I took tons of photos and had a hard time choosing my favorites! I have a feeling this post will be long. We had an awesome day and everybody seemed to be so happy with their Christmas. So Christmas Eve all the kids came over. Julie even spent Christmas Eve and Day with us. For those of you who don't know Julie she is a girl that we adopted into the family. Amanda met her in 1993. She lived just down the street from us in Mesa and has been a part of our family ever since. What a blessing it is to be surrounded by family and friends! So here goes the picture story...

Isn't Jayden's hair gorgeous? Thanks Aunt RaLee!...

Crystal and Spencer's house after Santa's visit they also had a trampoline in the back yard. We returned home and were in bed by THREE! Crystal called at 5:30 she had been up since 4 and they were very excited to come see Aunt RaLee and what Santa brought her. So Crystal came out in the rain with Will, Wayne Trey. The boys LOVED pouncing on Aunt RaLee's bed to come see what Santa brought!...
The back side of our trees. One tree has the kids gifts and the has the adult gifts under it...RaLee's Santa pile. She wanted a keyboard and swears she will learn to play. Of that I have no doubt now to find a piano teacher...

The funniest part of the day was when Kaitlen came in and asked everyone if we had seen her pink sweater. She stood there and even tightened the arms of the sweater while she asked us. I had her pose for this picture and right afterwards she realized where her sweater was. She was so embarrassed!
We finished opening gifts at 11:00 and ate a yummy dinner of Ham and all the fixings about 4:00. The kids left for home around six. Crystal and Spencer came back over to deliver RaLee's new kitten to her about 9 that evening staying for some pie and laughs. We had a wonderful day with the best part being the blessing of being surrounded by family!

Prayer Request For Crystal

Some of you read Crystal's blog when she talked about stubbing her toe on the banister on her birthday. I know they can't do anything about a broken toe but I continuted to be prompted to have her get an x-ray. She removed her shoe before sacrament meeting on Sunday and her visiting teacher's husband noticed her toe. He took her to the foyer and did an examination (he is an ER doctor at Desert Sam) and recomended she have an x-ray. So RaLee took the kids and I went to urgent care with her. The Dr. said, "Your foot looks fine but I need you to look at the x-ray. There is something going on with the bones in your foot. We will have a radiologist call you with his opinion. In the mean time make an appointment with a orthopedic foot specialist." We decided not to worry until her appointment...then the radiologist called today. He told her she had a serious problem and to get to a specialist ASAP. Crystal asked him if it could be bone cancer and he said he wouldn't discuss that on the phone with her but to get to a specialist because it was serious. For those of you who don't know my mother died of leukemia and bone cancer so this is a bit touchy for us. We are not going to jump to conclusions but we are asking for your prayers this holiday season. When Crystal hurt her toe she asked, "why?" Without that injury this would not have been found so soon. Heavenly Father truely works in mysterious ways. I took a photo of her x-ray. You will notice the white more denser part of the bone in the middle section of her big toe.

The "Stuff" Trey Collects

You never know what Trey is going to collect/find when he comes to Grandma's house. This week he found a nifty little bucket in Aunt RaLee's room (insert deep sighs and eyeball rolls from Auntie Ray here). When we looked inside this is what we found...
...Paper cup lid, old steer bones, part of an old toy car, piece of wood (we could make something Grandma!), crab grass, parts of an old soda cup and the ever disgusting horse hoof pieces! Teele will let what I affectionately refer to as "Horse Toe Nails" lay around the barn because they are a "Good treat for the dogs!" Well apparently they are also on Trey's list of cool things to collect. I will have to keep you updated as Trey brings me more items-yes this is a habit of his. At least no dead spiders this time!
