Some of you read Crystal's blog when she talked about stubbing her toe on the banister on her birthday. I know they can't do anything about a broken toe but I continuted to be prompted to have her get an x-ray. She removed her shoe before sacrament meeting on Sunday and her visiting teacher's husband noticed her toe. He took her to the foyer and did an examination (he is an ER doctor at Desert Sam) and recomended she have an x-ray. So RaLee took the kids and I went to urgent care with her. The Dr. said, "Your foot looks fine but I need you to look at the x-ray. There is something going on with the bones in your foot. We will have a radiologist call you with his opinion. In the mean time make an appointment with a orthopedic foot specialist." We decided not to worry until her appointment...then the radiologist called today. He told her she had a serious problem and to get to a specialist ASAP. Crystal asked him if it could be bone cancer and he said he wouldn't discuss that on the phone with her but to get to a specialist because it was serious. For those of you who don't know my mother died of leukemia and bone cancer so this is a bit touchy for us. We are not going to jump to conclusions but we are asking for your prayers this holiday season. When Crystal hurt her toe she asked, "why?" Without that injury this would not have been found so soon. Heavenly Father truely works in mysterious ways. I took a photo of her x-ray. You will notice the white more denser part of the bone in the middle section of her big toe.

I don't know what to say right now because I want to live in my fantasy world were we will always be healthy and grow old together. We can't think the worst right now we just have to have faith that she is going to be fine and that this was just another reason for us to remeber to always love each other and know that this life is a gift from our Heavenly Father. She has to be fine I cant except any other alternitive.
We will keep your family and especially Crystal in our prayers...We love you!
You will be in our prayers and I hope you can keep your minds on Christmas and have a happy day!
I hope everything turns out OK. Sometimes doctors can sure get people worked up but I'm sure it is better to be cautious. Hopefully everything will heal up and be good as new.
Her specialist doesn't open his office until Monday so she will make an appointment then. A different radiologist came to our home to see her x-ray and had some scary things to say about it too. So we are just staying positive and choosing not to worry needlessly! It could be nothing after all-just some old forgotten injury that healed or something!
