Cute Kids!

Jessica and the kids came to visit last week.  I couldn't believe how fast Caden has grown.  He is so sweet and lovable!  We call him "Bugsy" because of his great big blue eyes.
Payten LOVES clothes and will spend much of her time trying on different outfits.  You never know what she's going to come up with.  So when Crystal and I went "Yard Selling" I couldn't resist picking up three summer outfits for her to play in.  Here she is modeling one of them.  Not bad for a dollar!
Payten is a HUGE popsicle freak!  She was so happy to find one in the freezer.
You better keep a close eye on your soda pop whenever she is around.  She can sifon down a soda faster than you can say "Payten don't drink all of Grandma's soda!"  But it's okay Grandma doesn't really need her Diet Coke that bad.  Besides I can't help but spoil her a little...who can resist?

Church Prom

RaLee's school ,being knew, won't have their first prom until next year.  She has missed out on all of the typical High School dances including homecoming.  I have felt bad that she hasn't got to experience some of the typical High School "Fun" stuff.  This past Saturday she had a decision to make.  She could either go to a Hawaiian school dance or "Church Prom".  She went back and forth finally making her decision the day of the dance!  She chose to attend the 5 stake Prom.  Last  minute of course and we were on a strict budget so she didn't get the typical long prom gown.  I could have sewn her one but not on short notice.  She also asked if we could help send her friend Marissa to Prom.  Marissa has had a difficult time lately. Her older brother was killed last month in a motorcycle accident leaving behind a wife and 4 month old baby.  RaLee really wanted Marissa to go and have a good time.

I kept asking her if she needed Bishop to sign anything so she could go and she looked at me like I was nuts.  Sure enough just one hour before prom starts she learns that they do need a permission slip.  So Teele, being the greatest dad ever, makes some calls and gets the needed signatures.

It is increasingly difficult to find anything modest!  It's always sleeveless so you have to wear the little half tops to cover them.  Then the dresses either cling to every body part, are cut too low in the front, back or both, or they are too short.  RaLee's dress was just almost to low cut for my taste.  You almost have to glue them in place.  Finally with some last minute "Shopping Magic" we got the girls to Prom.
RaLee's dress  -$14.99   Originally $90
Marissa's Dress -$19.99 Originally $110
RaLee's Black Heels - $19.99 Original Price $100
Grand Total- $55.00
Total Savings - $245.00
We couldn't find Marissa any shoes but Charlee had the perfect pair we could borrow.  RaLee did their hair, nails and make up and they were off to the Prom.

RaLee and Hunter- He was such a trooper.  He new they were going dancing but left the choice up to RaLee either way he was taking her dancing.
I think my daughter is so Beautiful!
When she got home I asked her if she had a good time and she replied, "Oh Yea!  The best!"  The decorations were beautiful complete with a red carpet entrance.  Then  RaLee said that Marissa's  parents came and got her midway through the dance.  Her grandmother had passed away.  My heart broke for her.  I had hoped she would have a nice evening.  We never know what Heavenly Father has in store for any of us all we can do is continue on in Faith.

What's In Your Cell Phone?

You have heard the question, "What's in your iPod?"  Well what's in your cell phone?    Cell phones give us the ability to "Snap" a picture any time!  I will share some of mine...
Aunt RaLee was babysitting and snapped this photo on my phone...Little Miss Princess Jayden and her "Crazy Eyes"  Don't judge Crystal for the living room floor...did I mention Aunt RaLee was baby sitting?
Now that I've mentioned RaLee baby sitting sometimes we will get photos from her like this one..."Mom HELP!  Don't tell Crystal but look what Trey did to Jayden!!!  Help!  What do I do?"

Then at another fun "Aunt RaLee" babysitting session she and Wayne were doing something on the computer while she was taking a cell phone picture of them being silly then thought she would send it to me....hmmmm

Have you ever been at a boutique or saw some really cool crafty thing and thought, "I can make that!", then promise to commit it to memory and make it...and you never do.  Well with cell phone pictures you can snap a quick photo for later!  This is a "Diaper Wreath" instead of a Diaper Cake!  Cool ha?  Well I thought so.
This next series of pictures I took while shopping with Crystal at Ross.  I took the kids so she could have some shopping time alone...and we had fun trying on the hats!
Sweet girlie Jayden
Isn't Trey a little stud?  So CUTE!

Am I right or what?  The sweet little girl and the stud.  Trey is always good for a laugh.

Then poor sad little Izzy getting her 12 months shots last week.  Mommy cried, Grandma cried, Izzy screamed!  We were a mess.  She got four shots, a blood draw from the big toe and a TB skin test for a total of SIX pokes!

Then Crystal sent me this picture with the following message.  "Who knew with all the toys the kids have that a package of plastic cups would entertain the boy all day!"
At a friends wedding...my camera was packed for vacation...I was so upset for not bringing it.
Then just in case RaLee doesn't have enough "Self Portrait Cell Phone Pic's"  she took one with my camera.
When I was a teenager I would no more have thought about taking a picture of myself than donkey's could fly...but today the kids are famous for it.  RaLee takes so many pictures of herself that "She is her own personal Paparazzi"!
When Payten is at my house she will always look me up when she gets sleepy...that fat soft cushiony tummy and leg is good for something!

And finally the two pictures that prompted the post!  This is a nightly discussion between Teele and I.  Maybe some of you "Old married Folks" out there can relate.
Teele:  Let's put a move in or What's good on TV?
Liz:  It's pretty late aren't you tired
Teele: No
Liz:  Okay
Time passes...tick tock...tick tock...
Liz: Honey you should go get in bed.
Teele:  (grumpy voice)  I'm not tired!  I will go to bed when I'm ready!
....tick tock tick tock
Liz:  Picks up things turns out lights and goes to bed.
Teele:  SEE PHOTO  and remember He's NOT sleeping!  Leave him alone!  He will go to bed when he's good and ready!
Just in case you didn't get that here is a closer view...good ole zoom
Tick Tock Tick Tock....somewhere around 3am Teele comes to bed and the conversation continues
Teele:  Why didn't you wake me up?
Liz:  Because you weren't sleeping.  Remember?

Then drum rolls please...our final picture.  RaLee snapped this one yesterday during church...need I say more?
Don't you feel sorry for him with all the things the guy pulls on us all the time I'm not even close to getting even.  I just count my blessings that he doesn't know how to blog because I'm sure he would get me back.
