Wayne, Payten and Teele

A few year's ago, when William lost his first tooth, Wayne was jealous because the tooth fairy was going to leave William some money under his pillow in exchange for a tooth.  So Wayne went into the back yard and found a HUGE river rock.  He carried the rock inside the house and lay down on the floor.  He then held the rock at arms length above his mouth, smiled real big, and dropped the rock.  The rock smashed into his front teeth resulting in screams, blood and a chipped tooth.  Crystal and Spencer took him to the dentist and he had some repair work done.  About $3,000 worth of repair work.  There was no magical Tooth Fairy to help pay for it either.
A few months ago Waynes front tooth was finally loose!  He was so excited! Every time he saw me he would have me wiggle his tooth to see if it was ready to be pulled.  For those of you that don't know it "Grandma" is the official 'Toof Puller Outer".  When any of Crystal's kids get a loose tooth they come see grandma.  After wiggling Waynes tooth I decided something didn't feel quite right.  I just didn't feel comfortable pulling his tooth and it just wasn't loose enough for my liking.
Last week he came home from school and told Crystal his teeth hurt.  She looked at his gums and took him straight to the dentist.  X-ays showed the roots were dead on the top four teeth and they needed to come out first thing in the morning.  The dentist did the work free of charge because he said "You've paid enough for these teeth!"
Crystal brought Wayne by the house to show Grandma and for one last picture with his teeth.
I took an up close picture of his gums.  Notice the little blister (upper left), swelling and discoloration?
Here is the cell phone picture Crystal took of his BABY teeth!  Everbody was shocked at the size of his roots.
After his teeth were pulled he stopped by grandma's for another picture.
I got a kick out of Payten she wanted me to take a picture of her teeth too.  I had to tell her that was her nose and to try again.
Much better- she cracks me up.
Notice how blonde her hair is?  Well I found this can of hair paint in my bathroom this morning and I couldn't resist.

The paint really took to her hair!

Teele has been riding/training colts in the arena.  Last night one of the colts bucked him off.  He did a complete front flip high into the air and landed flat on his back.  It knocked the air out of him and he was dizzy for quite a while.  Everybody tried to talk him into going to the ER but he wanted to wait until morning and go see Dr. Shifflet-only the best chiropractor we have ever known.  He slept sitting straight up in the couch last night wearing the dirty clothes from the accident.  He hurt too bad to remove them.
Dr. Shifflet took Xray's and we were so relieved to learn that nothing was broken.  Dislocated pretty much every bone but nothing broken!
Here is Payten loving on her Green-Pa

He sits straight up in a kitchen chair...breaks my heart to see him in so much pain.  Yet again we are counting our blessings!
