Kaitlen's Day or Girl's Just Want To Have Fun

Today is Kaitlen's 7th birthday! Happy Birthday Sweety! John had to work the night shift last night and a double shift today so we met him at the park in Queen Creek during his lunch hour so he could spend some time with Kaitlen on her special day. Since his time was limited she opened the gifts from mommy and daddy today but tomorrow we will all go to Jessica's for her birthday party/dinner. It was a beautiful day although it was getting a little hot and the bee's were terrible...it seems I'm not the only one that likes to drink my diet coke! When the kids arrived they were all so cute and CLEAN but as the day wore on it wasn't the boys that got dirty as you will see.
Jaden looking so pretty in her yellow dress and hair bows
Sweet little Payten on daddy's shoulders. Yes that's a bruise on her cheek. She tripped over a pair of shoes and landed face down on their tile floor this week.
Kaitlen was so excited to get her MP3 player!
The bee's aren't the only ones who like Grandma's soda.
She got so many adorable outfit's and new shoes.
Jayden loved laying on the grass. Then Crystal and Spencer invited all of us back to their place for a BBQ. The kids played hard in the back yard and then we found the girls...
See the dirt in her hands?
They were playing in Crystal's garden planters
They were filthy after their dirt fight! I love it! Of course it wasn't my expensive dirt they were throwing around and I don't have to bathe them or try to get the black dirt out of their clothes! Oh the joys of being the Grandma!

I had a wonderful day with all of the kids! I could not believe how dirty they got! Jayden looked homeless by the time she went up too bed! It reminded me of little Crystal and little Jessica! These 2 are so cute together!

Your exactly right! Those two together are like watching you and Jessica when you were little. One olive skinned, brown eyed brunette and another white skinned, blue eyed blonde! I'm so glad I'm a Grandma it's so fun watching these kids grow up and I can't wait to meet Isabelle...for some reason I think she is going to be dark headed...just a feeling.

Hands down your pictures rock of the two little girls. I HAVE to have copys of those. I knew that they would be friends they are so close in age. My favorite part was when I say Jayden taking Payten's BRAND NEW shoes off and trying to throw them over the wall. I asked her why and she said 'No shoes' I understand she hates shoes so she thought Payten didnt need hers either. Now that would have been an interesting night trying to find Payten's new shoes if she had managed to get them over the wall. Kaitlen was so happy to get to spend the day with everyone. She did miss her wild uncles.
