One day I may be able to talk about this recent trial but for now just know that my heart is broken but not my spirit. With Faith in my Heavenly Father, a strong testimony of the Gospel and my family and friends I will not only survive this but Thrive! A dear friend of mine, Shannon Davis, told me that her motto for the the new year was "2010 Starting Over Again". She told me that this was officially my motto too.
Its' funny that when you feel like dieing you expect that the entire world should stop spinning because "your world" has and yet everyday life just keeps on happening. So to catch you up on my "Everyday Life" I will blast you with one of my usual "Picture Overloads".
RaLee went to "Forthcoming". Their school, being new, has not had a graduating class yet so instead of a Homecoming Game and Dance it's forthcoming.
John took his son to his first football game. This was a huge deal! John LOVES football and is hoping his son will grow to love it too.
I painted a pumpkin on Amanda's Baby Belly. When she was pregnant with Izzy I painted an Easter Egg on her tummy so we had to keep up the tradition.
RaLee got her drivers license! One evening I got a text that read, "CALL ME!!!" So I called her and she was hysterical. She said the van was parked in front of her friend Taylor's house and a big truck hit it. I told her to call 911 and that we would be right there. So Crystal, Spencer and I rush to her. But when I got there things just didn't ad up to me. After I turned "Angry Mom" the truth came out. She had backed into the hitch of a big lifted truck in a parking lot. The truck had no damage but the back of Crystal and Spencer's van didn't fare so well. Spencer and RaLee took the car to the grocery store to get Mylecon drops for Ellie Mae while Crystal and I took the van home. As Spencer was pulling out onto the road he nearly hit the median. A policeman pulled him over and saw a 34 year old man with a 17 year old girl that had her knees to her chest and still crying from her earlier accident. The officer assumed Spencer had kidnapped or assaulted her so he was asked to step out of the car. More policemen were called and things got pretty scary for poor Spencer. RaLee finally stopped crying long enough to help explain the situation and they let him go. He said, "I was certain the guy was going to taze me!" We have gotten some good laughs out of this one. If you know Spencer he wouldn't hurt a fly!
The poor mini van.
We are thinking about getting a Sharpie and writing, "RaLee was Here" on the back of the van.
RaLee cheered her last home football game. It was their Forthcoming game. Sadly CHS lost. But they qualified for the Semi-Finals! Not bad for their first Varsity Team and not one Senior.
During half time RaLee and a couple other cheerleaders performed with their Jr. Cheerleading group. She worked hard all week teaching these little girls cheers, chants and a dance for half time.
She is so good with the little ones and they LOVED her!
We are sure going to miss Friday Night Football!
We had a baby shower for Amanda and she had her baby! I will blog about that in my next post.

Liz, you don't know me and i don't even remember how I came across your blog, but I've been following you for about the same amount of time it's been since your little Sage died. The reason I keep reading your blog is because it helps me in the face of trials to realize that I can make it through. Hi! I don't remeber how I came across your blog, but initially I came back to it because of the music. Later on I find my self to check in every now and then because I'm so impressed with your work and enjoy reading about your big family and all the things that you do together. It also brings back good memories from my year in the US, since I live in Europe.
Just wanted to leave a "good luck" message and "thank you for sharing" since I might be seen as an "European spy" on your blog. This spy has no evil intentions though;) I just really enjoy your efforts to share your family's ups and downs. Hope everything turns our well for you!
Hi. Please dont stop blogging. I have no idea how I came across your blog, but I've been reading for a while. I've got you bookmarked and I check for new posts almost daily. I've grown to love your family through your blog.
I have no idea what you are going through, but I'm praying for you.
I promise I'm not a spy, just a 37yr old Mommy in Athens Georgia. :)
Liz,
I am so glad you will keep blogging.
I love catching up on you and your family and reading about how close you are even through the trials you have faced. I love reading your testimony of our Savior and how positive you make everything.
it would be a horrible thing not to share your words and spirit with the world.
Thank you
