Memories

When we went to the Tucson Zoo, last March on Sage's Angel Day, I watched my two little granddaughter's, watching the Giraffe s, and it reminded me of two more little girls, a long time ago.

Francine Jewell and Katherine Louise Mortensen
San Diego Zoo, 1954
Francine, the little Blondie is my mother, and Katherine is her big sister.
Payten and Jayden
When I saw those two gazing at the giraffes it reminded me of my mother. I could feel her spirit there with us, watching her great granddaughter's marveling at the giraffes.

I am amazed when I look at the little girl my mother was, especially when I realize that I was born just SIX short years later. She was a very young teen mom, that had a very rare Love/marraige, with my dad, until her death in 1997.  Funny what can trigger a memory....Memories are precious gifts.

We are so fortunate to have memories. What a neat memory to recall! Love the similar pictures...older and newer.

With Hope,
Cheryl

Such pretty little girls! All 4 of them! I am shocked by the whole 6 years later bit! I love the Zoo and the feelings I have when we go! I know that Sage loves Gods Creations!!! I knew Grandma does as well!
