Our Thanksgiving Day

This is how our Thanksgiving Day went...

Lots of WORK in the kitchen - see that cute baby bump?...

RaLee was on "Ice" duty between games of guitar hero...

Daddy was on "Kid Duty" while mommy was busy - isn't she the cutest blue eyed dolly?...

More Wii Guitar Hero, bowling, golf and other games...

Teele and DJ carved the turkey...

Then one of the high lights of the day was catching Jayden "Hiding" with her nose in the corner by the refridgerator. She was shoving black olives in her mouth as fast as she could. The girls all laughed to know the Reidhead Tradition lives on!...

So we hooked her up...

The table was all set with blessings from above...

Add more special blessings to the table with Pop Pop asking Spencer to bless the food...

When from the "Kids Table" Kaitlen says, "Grandpa Can I Bless The Food?" and what a beautiful blessing she gave - "From the mouth's of babes" - John's parents, Linda and Von Griggs from Logan, Utah spent the day with us. It was so good to see them again. Then Amanda and John have a big announcement they are going to tell us what they are naming their baby girl! So Amanda writes the name on a Magna Doodle, and her name is...

Isabelle Kay Griggs. Isabelle is the Spanish form of Elizabeth and Kay is Grandma Linda's middle name. So their daughter will be named after both Grandmother's. They haven't decided if she will be called Izzy or Belle. Either way it's an adorable name and Grandma feels very honored to have THREE grandaughters named after her. Jayden RayAnn - Ann for my middle name, Kaitlen Elizabeth and now Isabelle. Yes grandma cried...

Grandpa played with the grand babies - Sage has the cutest little giggle...

Then we watched a movie...

Momma's held babies - That's Payten's new "smile for the camera" ...

Then we ate pies - This is Amanda's first home made pie and it was yummy!...

Some more rough housing with the kids...

Then everyone grew tired after a long day of food, fun, more food, and laughter for an end to a perfect day.

It really was a wonderful day. I was thankful that everything came together and worked out perfectly!I don;t want to forget Trey and desert table. His little was so round and hard! HE was going to get so sick from all of the pies, puddings, cheesecakes, and ice cream! Her name is darling! I think it is perfect! Papa Teele taught William a big lesson after Thanksgiving. Grandpa took big plates of food over to the neighbors that live in a little camp trailer and do not have anything to there name. It really touched William that his Grandpa was helping others that are in need. It was a was perfect day Mom! Thank you!

That was so funny watching Trey pick all the cookies out of the Banana pudding and make the rounds to each pie. He just kept eating and that tummy just got bigger and harder. He was so cute. The neighbor was so thankful for the food. Said he and his wife just cried to have Thanksgiving dinner and she even ate her pie even though she has diabetes. We try to take them some of our Sunday dinner every week too. But I think we need to do it more often. We give them a ride to the store weekly for food and they don't buy much. Loaf of bread, diet coke, chips and peanut butter.

Hi Liz and everyone! Wow your table and food for Thanksgiving looked so yummy! Your pictures you took Liz were like the pro you are! Awesome shots! I'm so thankful that you all had a great time and plenty of food to go around and to even share.
Mike and I got to eat at a really nice buffet for our Thanksgiving dinner, not the same as home or around loved ones but we do what we have to do~and YES Crystal I got to eat FISH! LOL and it was good! Jessica your daughter is so cute as all of the girls are in your family, you all are so blessed and should remember that every day, nothing else really matters in life but family and good friends~and also remember that God has a plan for us all and we need to leave everything up to him,of course we all have brains and should use them, don't get me wrong, to be the best we can is what God wants for us all. I'm still trying hard to be that person. I gave thanks to God on Thanksgiving for bringing me Mike and keeping us together threw thick and thin, we still have some walls to climb but I am keeping the faith and praying alot!
Love you all and take care, we're at the hotel here in Vegas waiting to leave tomorrow morning back to Washington, I am so happy to be leaving this crazy city!
Amanda by the way, you look great pregnant! Love u, take care~

It was a fun Thanksgiving. I can't believe it's over with already! I was sad to see it said and done with. The kids were great and Jayden was so funny with all her olives! I will never forget Will and his first Wii bowling score of 164, and Trey's clean up of all the deserts! It was a fun day. Thanks for hosting it! Plus it was one of the best Hams and Turkeys I have had in a while!

I read this when Mom first posted it and thought I posted something, but now that I read all of your posts I remember that Payten was screaming and pulled me away from the computor.
It was a very good Thanksgiving, I have so much to be greatful for. My darling husband, he is such an awesome Dad all of his girl's love him so much. My parents for letting us live with them for over a year. My two amazing sister who bought Christmas for my children, when they have their own famlies to provied for. THANK YOU!! My children for picking me to be their mom, for letting me love them and expereance what it feels like to love with everything I have. For my Heavenly Father for never giving up on me when I gave up on him. For letting me repent and welcomed me back with loving arms. For a healthy life and family. Thank you all for your support and love.
