Well the kids were very lucky! Crystal and Spencer had been to the Dr. this morning to have Jayden's heart checked. They found out she has a heart murmur just days after Sage's passing. So the Dr. said it sounded good but would order some tests to be sure. They called with the good news then went to Costco to grocery shop and pick up some diapers. They were on their way home from Costco when a woman pulled out in front of them to turn into her housing development.
An of duty fire fighter witnessed the accident and phoned 911. He also treated everyone on the scene immediately. Crystal could hear and see that Trey was fine but when no sound was comming from Jayden she just started screaming. The paramedics wanted to give her a shot that would knock her out for days, as they put it, so she could just rest. Some of these men remembered them from the day Sage passed away and they were just heart broken for them.
But being the trooper Crystal is she was fine once she realized Jayden was okay and just stunned/shocked. Teele and I drove her to the urgent care because she didn't want an ambulance ride. She knows the Dr. that owns the urgent care and he got her right in. Plus he was aware of Sage's passing and treated her with much needed compassion.
So the x-rays said, she broke her wrist and elbow on her right arm. They think she separated the ribs from her sternum but are awaiting a radiologist to review those x-rays. They put her in a half cast, gave her a shot of Tordol (sp) and some Vicodin and sent her home. She will see an orthopedic next week. Her arm is really bruised. Her shoulder and neck and most everything hurts.
But they are all alive! So more blessings! Grandma will be spending days and nights at Crystal's once Spencer returns to work. With Trey in a cast he needs carried to the bathroom and sponge bathed and such. I mean really I can't help but wonder "What the heck?" but Heavenly Father never gives us more than we can handle and there is always something to be learned from every trial.

All i can say is SERIOUSLY!!! I can't believe that they were in car accident today. I am so thankful they are all alive and for the most part okay. Other than the whip lash and the multiple broken arm.
I love you Chris.
I have been so anxious all afternoon! I am thankful that the injuries aren't worse than they are and that it is all recoverable. Crystal is awfully tired, don't take this wrong, but I hope the pain killers, which she needs so that her body can recover better and faster, will also help her get some much needed sleep. You are all in our prayers!
You and the family are in my prayers!
I'm so glad to see you looking calm in that last picture but I agree with your mom, I am also worried about you.
I love you. Rest away and heal, my dear friend...

Ok, I think this family has had enough. (sigh) We are so glad you updated us. All the kids are fine and it looks like Crystal will eventually be ok. I agree, she needs some rest and a little medication could help with that.
So glad they are all as well as they are and noone was injured any worse than they got. it could have been so much worse! You need the sign my daughter has at her house... "He won't give us more than we can handle.... I just wish He didn't trust us so much!" Sometimes being a grandma is hard. You can't fix ALL the hurts and it is hard to see your children go through trials and not be able to make it all better. Hang in there, my friend! Call if you need any "grandma" reinforcements!
My heart just breaks for her. She needs some rest so badly, but I think she is still in a state of shock. Continued prayers for the whole family.
My heart just goes out to all of you in aching sympathy. Came over from Jadehollow. I'm so grateful that they were not all hurt worse. I will pray for rest for Crystal. When you so worried about your little ones it is desperately hard to disconnect, but it is vital for your own health. Rest, dear Crystal. My heart and prayers are with you all.
Continued prayers for you and your family. No words could even begin to provide you comfort but those uttered to our Heavenly Father...
Are yo kidding me thats what I keep on thinking. I'm just glad that nothing worse happened.
Oh my Liz, how are you doing with all this? I can't imagine how Crystal must be feeling. We will remember you guys in our prayers!
