RaLee turned 16 on Tuesday the 22nd and it was such a big day for her! She has counted the day’s for over two years. She’s been so excited to date. You could ask her on any given day how many day’s until she turned 16 and she would tell you exactly how many days she had left. Of course I took pictures and here they are…
First off Crystal, Jessica, Jayden and I went to the school to surprise her and brighten up the school day. Crystal and I made her a candy bouquet, sash, party hat, and wand…
We didn’t have to wait long because she was in the nurses office helping her take care of the sick. I didn’t know she volunteered to help the nurse so that was a pleasant surprise for us. As you can see she was thrilled with her goodies…
She got home from Cheer practice at 6pm and had to be back at school by 7pm so we had a quick family party/dinner and she opened her presents.
She had the SWEETEST gift given to her at school. Tyler is 15 and like RaLee is not allowed to date until he is 16. So he brought a picnic lunch. Set it up on the grass complete with her favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Then he brought his guitar and sang to her. He sang “Hey There Delilah” Taylor Swifts, “Love Story” and Happy Birthday. She promised to be his first date when he turned 16 and that he would be her first date too! She must really like him to promise to wait a few more months to date…that’s okay with me. All the stuff we did Tyler’s gift made her entire day!
She got cute shirts from Amanda and John…
Her “Never Shout Never” shirt and bracelet (her favorite band/group)
And Amanda, John, Crystal and Spencer got her a pink and white laptop/notebook. She LOVED it!
Her Uncle Mike and Aunt Kathy brought money so a few days later she went on a shopping spree to Tilly’s (one of her favorite stores) and bought a pair of pants, three cute shirts and 3 necklaces. She blew out 16 candles….
Then without getting a piece of cake she got ready for the school Lip Sinc Talent contest. Four of the cheerleaders decided to perform. We rushed off to the school to watch her perform. I had to take a picture of the trophy cases they filled them with all of the school’s new uniforms..so cool!…
Intermission Izzy played with Grandpa. There were some really good and interesting performances. The girls were second to last to perform…
Up next…
They performed to Miley Cyrus’s “Hoedown Showdown” Their music couldn’t be heard very well but they performed anyway. RaLee came and sat down beside us afterward and said, “Oh well we sucked but we won in my heart!” I laughed and told her I thought they did good.
Then much to their surprise they won second place! She was so excited. Then to my shock she took the mic and said, “I would like to thank my Mom and Dad and everybody who made this possible” They said RaLee we only let you get away with that because it’s your birthday! So she grabbed the mic back and shouted, “I’m 16!” Now was she happy to turn 16 or what?…
Then she got a really special birthday wish from Sage. Yes I know it sounds strange. I’ve been sick so haven’t had a chance to update the story but I will try to have it posted on Sage’s blog soon. Stop by it’s such a cool story!

I thought she had a great birthday! I am glad she did....we just need to get past her school party! I am a little scared to have that many teens at my house! Like what are they going to do? PLAY in the toy room????? Or watch kid movies rated g? I am stressing over here just a tad!!! RaLee needs to think up some entertainment!
Oh HAPPY BELATED SWEET 16, RALEE!!!Glad you had an awesome day!!! Love that your sisters did that for you to surprise you at school...we love you!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RaLee, you are so much fun and a little crazy. I just can't believe you are 16 I remember when you had your 3rd birthday party at peter pipper!
So I thought you got rid of your comment section because I couldn't see it against your background.
I agree with mom that you said that you would both be each others first dates. I thought: WOW she's gonna wait until April to go on her first date! She must REALLY like this guy!
Happy birthday RaLee I am so proud of the young woman that you are starting to blossom into! You are truly special, and unique! I love you, Sister!
