We traveled to Holbrook for the bridal shower and was introduced to "Winter" weather! It was so windy and cold but the shower was a lot of fun.
Then Trey was in the back yard when the swing "jumped" out of the ground and landed on top of his foot! I heard his screams and went running. He kept telling me that he got "Stuck" so I was looking for a sticker. But when the story finally came out the kids were swinging when the swing jumped out of the ground and landed on top of his foot. So off to the ER we went and sure enough it was broken!
The good news was the cast came off just two days before our little Ring Barer had to walk down the aisle!
Kaitlen Turned 8!
Then my Son in Law, John Griggs, graduated from DeVry University, with his Bachelor of Science in Technical Management. He plans to take a couple more classes for a second Bachelor's degree then continue working on his MBA. I'm so proud of you John!
Izzy looked so pretty at daddy's graduation!
Then we went to Pinetop, Arizona for the big day! We had rehearsal and decorated for the wedding the day before.
Then there was the rehearsal dinner
Royal and RaLee before the ceremony...Royal was SO SO Happy and Excited to be marrying the love of his life!
Waiting for his Bride...his eyes filled with tears when he saw her walking down the aisle...Charlee's grandfather married them.
Charlee and her Father
Exchanging vows
Kissing his bride
Mr. and Mrs. Royal Reidhead!
The Groomsmen were having some fun teasing Royal and Charlee with their hankies and fake tears.
RaLee put on her cowboy Hat and boots and danced all night!
The groomsmen had TONS of fun dancing too!
The Bride and Groom honeymooned at a snow covered cabin in Greer. They went ski-ing, snow boarding, sledding and site seeing and will be going on a cruise to Alaska in July.
The bridesmaids
Meet my new grandson, Caden James Caldwell! Born March 11th and weighing in at 7lbs 8.2 ounces! He is so sweet and such a good baby!
Aunt RaLee and nephew Caden...we all cried when we held him for the first time. My thoughts when I first held him? "Dear Heavenly Father please let us keep this grandson." I later learned that all of us were thinking the same thing. Caden is the first boy born to our family since Sage's death. We are so blessed! Aunt's RaLee, Crystal, Amanda, and I were all privileged to witness his birth. Aunt Charlee had to go to work and missed it by 30 minutes! We were so bummed that she didn't get to be there for his birth and so was she.
Here is daddy cutting the cord.
Jessica was determined not to feel anything by requesting an epidural from the beginning. They administered it at 2cm and 1/2 of it wore off at 4 cm and they never could get her completely numbed after that. One leg was numb the other side wasn't so it didn't go the way she anticipated...does it ever? The delivery went well but after the doctor left and we were all taking photo's of baby Caden Jessica hemorrhaged. I have never seen that before and quite frankly it scared me to death! I did not know a body could dump that much blood that fast! The Dr. was called back in and the bleeding was stopped. I kept thinking, "Really? We can't just have ONE thing without a scary "Life and Death" moment!
But "alls well that ends well" that's my new motto! Caden is here and mom and baby are doing fine.
We went on vacation this past week and I will save that for another post. We had lots of fun and I took lots of pictures...I bet you can't wait!
