I am so proud of my beautiful daughter and new son in law! So I am posting some of my favorite photos from their wedding. They were married in the Mesa Temple May 5, 2007. Their reception was later that evening in the back yard of our Queen Creek home. Three weeks later we traveled to Logan, Utah for a second reception. We had a wonderful time getting to know John's family and seeing the home and town he grew up in.
Amanda and John, like Jessica and John, met on LDSsingles.com. They exchanged emails and phone calls then John decided to fly to Arizona and spend Thanksgiving with us. It became very apparent that he was head over heals in love with Amanda!
Then Amanda flew to Utah to attend their family Christmas party and to spend John's birthday with him. He proposed and presented her with a beautiful diamond and Sapphire wedding ring that he had designed himself.
John loaded up "Old Peppy" and drove to Arizona with Amanda on Christmas Eve. He moved in with us then after New Years he moved into the nasty old camp trailer by the arena. We felt so bad for him but with all of the children and grand children living at home we were very crowded. But he took it all in stride, photographed the various spiders with his cell phone, then looked them up on the Internet to make sure he wasn't going to die from some funky spider bite!
But he did it all for his Amanda! We new it had to be true love!
