Investigation Closed

Crystal and Spencer received the phone call they have been waiting for, today, from the County Coroners office.  The investigation into Sage's death has been officially closed.  With the final ruling of SUID, Sudden Unexplained Infant Death.  This is standard procedure in the death of a child.

On the 17th of December, the day before Crystal's birthday, we will go to the coroners and pick up Sage's things.   This includes the blanket/sheet he was laying on, the quilt that covered him, a stuffed Fisher Price singing night light sea horse (his favorite) and the Pajama's he wore to bed.

While it is a relief to have the investigation closed picking up his personal effects will be very hard.  Please remember to keep them in your prayers this next week.  The Holiday season has been very difficult and with this added on top of it they will need some extra prayers.

We went to the cemetary yesterday...we'll write more about that later...and decorated his grave for Christmas.  It is tradition to have family prayer everytime we go.  I love this...there was such a sweet spirit there.

Oh my goodness, I didn't realize you were still waiting for this. As always, you will be in our prayers and I think of you so often, I can't tell you how many times a day. The more Lincoln grows, it is even more strongly.

I'm glad that they have finally closed his case, and that there is no more question. I can't imagine how hard it is going to be to pick up his personal effects. My heart aches just thinking about it.

Hugs to your whole family, for everyone hurts in these awful situations. I am sorry that this has to happen to any family/child. My heart goes out to you...this is not an easy path to have to walk. I am sad to say that I understand it (death of a precious child).

Please give Crystal a hug from me.

With love and hope,
Cheryl

I truly can't imagine how hard it's going to be for them. I hope someday soon that they will feel peace and happiness every minute of each day.

Oh please let Crystal, I will keep her and her family in our family prayers and that we think of her constantly! this picture reminds me of me and the kids surrounding my husband's grave as we say our family prayers with him whenever we go to the cemetary. I know the the holidays are the worst of times for us because in a way it is a reminder of another year without this person. Sage's sweet spirit is there with you all and I, too, am saddened by knowing how one feels of that missing child and or loved one....we love you!
